Recap: Homeschool Revival Village Call - Reflection

This Sunday, our Homeschool Revival Village group kicked off its weekly call, and it was an incredible start!

The sense of community and shared purpose was palpable as we gathered virtually to support and uplift one another on this homeschooling journey. Here's a recap of our inspiring session:

Opening with Psalm 103

We began with a beautiful Psalm for moms from Psalm 103, setting a tone of gratitude and reflection. It was a reminder of God's unfailing love and mercy, which strengthens us in our roles as homeschool moms. We then shared our prayer requests and lifted each other up in prayer, starting our week with faith and connection.

Reflecting on Our Many Roles

Renee Hector, our homeschool success coach and family social worker, led us in a powerful reflection on the multitude of roles we fill as homeschool moms. We each took turns sharing our unique experiences and responsibilities, from teacher and counselor to protector and spiritual guide. Listening to each other’s stories was eye-opening and encouraging. Many of us added new roles to our own lists after hearing from others, realizing just how multifaceted and impactful our roles truly are.

Staying Motivated with "Our Why"

We also discussed the importance of "our why" in staying motivated throughout the homeschooling journey. By identifying and reflecting on our core reasons for homeschooling, we can keep our focus and enthusiasm, even during challenging times. Sharing our "whys" was a powerful exercise, reminding us of the deep and personal convictions that drive our commitment to our children's education and faith formation.

Hearing these amazing moms share their stories and insights was incredibly empowering. Each story was a testament to the strength, dedication, and love that we pour into our families and our homeschool endeavors. It’s this sense of community and shared purpose that makes our Homeschool Revival Village so special.
