How God’s using my word for the year

Did you pick a word for the year? If so I’d like to know what you picked!

This year I chose the word WRITE. I felt God revealing it to me before 2022 ended and I’m excited to see what he leads me to write and how he uses it.

Here’s an insert from Day 1:

Sunday January 1, 2023

Today I visited Mt. Carmel. You were there. The place where I learned about you in Sunday School and Wednesday night service as a child. The place where I heard others testify of your goodness and learned to grow in the comfort of knowing you would always be with me after I made the decision to accept your gift. The place where I was baptized before I truly knew what it meant to follow you.

They quickly passed out communion with the blood you shed and your broken body minimized as a symbol in a plastic thimble.

Marc asked if he could have one. He knows about you… but has lots of questions. I whispered the debatable rule to him, “Only those who have been baptized participate in communion.”

Then asked him if he was ready to live his life for you and be baptized to show the world his decision.

He asked how old he had to be to get baptized.

I told him that it wasn't about age but a decision. Anyone could decide to follow Christ at any time.

Some do it at a young age and others do it when they are older. And some never get around to doing it at all.

He thought about it… then decided he wasn’t ready today.

But I see you work and I know that you have big plans for him. Thank you for working with me & tag teaming him. Thank you for giving me words that speak to his heart. 😉

He just started back playing the piano and it’s heavenly. I so enjoy hearing him play and sing. Thank you for sending Christopher to teach him in a way he understands and showing him how to develop the gift you gave him. I am excited to see what you have in store.

Hubby cooked breakfast.

I got to worship with my family.

We spent the rest of the day with extended family in NC.

Then lots of traveling.

If New Year's Day is any indication of what you'll be doing for the rest of the year...

My 2023 is looking good. 😉
